PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by Ingraham,
the committee: Patsy Hutsell, George Figgins, Rudy Groshelle, Dwewy Wolff,
Dolores Coberly, Terry Lonsberry, Morgan Hopkins
Discussion on the following water bills:
a) Terry Lonsberry - on vacation and was billed for average
water useage.
b) J. R.. Bagley - on vacation and water line broke.
c) Betty Strecker - house vacant and paying sewer bill for
little or no water useage.
The Utilities Committee recommends there be no adjustment on these water
bills. Committee also recommends that a resolution or ordinance be
passed that except for meter maintenance there be no adjustment on
water or sewer bills. If the service is there, the customer pays.
• West end water users:
a) Committee recommends approval of tap charge only for single
family dwelling.
b) Joe will draw up new contract.
c) This line will be limited to 15 taps.
City has received complaints on the replacement of a fire hydrant at
Thomae Lumber CO. The engineer's office should look into this and make
any necessary changes in the curb and gutter and sidewalk.
Ge-neral discussion on a comprehensive maintenance plan at the water plant
Also septic tank disposal at the new sewer plant. There was no action
taken at this time due to a need for further study.
Morgan Hopkins: Complaint about the cost of repair of his curb stop in
December, 1883. Main complaint is on the repair of his driveway.
Committee strongly recommends Mr. Hopkins be billed for this repair
as it is a private property matter.
