A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the Committee:
PlpP,41,1 Mr. Phil Gorby, representing the Laurel Nursing Home and the
'oTl? Laurel Care Center, asked to have the sewer average at the old
Nursing Home reduced from $100.72 for Sept. & Oct. to $11.11
since it is vacant. Also he has a well at the new home so he
should not be on the sewer averaging. Mel Baker moved to adjust
the old Nursing Home sewer to the average for Sept. & Oct. and
put the sewer charge at the new center on straight billing. Dave
Michael seconded and the motion passed.
Bud Adams objected to being charged $15.00 to have his rental left
on in his name. The committee explained the procedure to him. No
adjustment made.
Discussion was held on a large bill for Elsie Milligan which was incurred
in March 1985 for a frozen service line and replacement of the line and
curb box. The committee recommended a letter be sent to Mrs. Milligan
and her family advising them that if the bill is not taken care of
by August of 1988, the charges will be put on the taxes.
A discussion was held on curb boxes that cannot be located. It is the
customers responsibility and they will be billed until they get the
box located and the city is able to 'urn it off.
Dave Michael moved to adjourn the meeting, Mel Baker seconded, motion
• passed. The meeting adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
