A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Earl Linger submitted a bill to the Utilities committee for
a meter loop. He wanted to be reiumbursed for the cost of a
meter loop and one hour of labor that he paid to Whitmeyer
Plumbing. He said someone at City Hall had told the plumber
to use the wrong loop. After a discussion a motion was made
by Mel Baker, seconded by Ron Marshall to deny the request.
Discussion was held as to why Mr. Linger had not been billed
for water and sewer at his old place of business for the past
14 years?
Phil Curry made a motion that in the future the plumbers
buy the meter loops from the City of Laurel, with Council
approval. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:25 p.m.
