MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Phil Curry Judy Matthies Bob Graham Mike Hammer Jim Worthington Larry Thomas Mel Baker Ron Marshall FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS: Judy Matthies appeared before the committee regarding her sewer bill for September. She stated that she lived at 809 Cottonwood for only four days but the sewer portion of her bill was in excess of 19.00. The committee explained to her that she was being billed on the average of the previous October to March in order to obtain an average for her billing. The committee told her that there was nothing that they could do for her. Bob Graham stated that he will bring this matter before the council for discussion. SECOND ORDER OF BUSINESS: Mike Hammer of 508 6th Avenue appeared before the committee requesting permission to tap on with sewer and water to his existing service for a proposed work shop that he is planning to build. He wants to have a wash basin and toilet in this shop located to the rear of his house. Since the sewer line is on 6th Avenue instead of the alley the only feasible way he can accomplish is to tap into his existing house service. Jim Worthington explained that according to codes he can do this. Motion made by Mel Baker, seconded by Larry Thomas to recommend to the council that Mr. Hammer be allowed to proceed with his plans. Motion carried. THIRD ORDER OF BUSINESS: Mel Baker expressed displeasure in regards to the August minutes of the committee. He stated that no reference was made to allowing Jack Roma to hook-up to City water. He stated that without this mention the Council did allow Mr. Roma a hook-up. He stated that he was dissatisfied with the way the minutes were written and presented. Rfully submitted, rl?- L Ron Marshall Acting Chairman
