CITY OF LAUREL
Congratulations, the Montana Department of Commerce is pleased to inform you
that a Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) construction grant of $625,000
has been awarded to the City of Laurel for funding your water project. House Bill
11 authorizing the appropriation of money for TSEP projects was passed by the
61$t Legislature and signed by Governor Brian Schweitzer on May 6, 2009.
HB 11 authorized 66 projects to receive TSEP grants. Before we can provide
TSEP funding for your project, you must complete specific start-up requirements.
The most critical start-up requirement is that you obtain a firm commitment for all
of the funding needed to complete your project. You must meet the start-up
conditions by December 31, 2012, or the grant will automatically be terminated.
The TSEP staff has scheduled four project administration workshops in May and
June to explain the various requirements that you need to be aware of before you
start your project. Prior to attending one of the workshops, please do not take any
further actions on your project without contacting the TSEP staff first.
Again, congratulations on the award of your TSEP grant and we look forward to
working with you to complete your project. If you have any questions, please
contact Jim Edgcomb, TSEP Manager, at 841-2785.
Sincerely,
Anthony J. Preite, Director
