A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the committee:
Discussion regarding the $2.25 per service connection fee charged to Community
Public Water Supply Systems. This fee is assessed for funding the Public Water
Supply Program. Dave Michaels stated that this fee is one that can be passed
along to the customers without going through the public notice and meeting process
normally required for rate increases less than 12%.
Motion by Mel Baker to put the $2.25 tap fee on the utility bills and to send a
notice with the bill explaining the charge. Seconded by Albert Ehrlick. Motion
carried. A notice will also be put in the Laurel Outlook.
Meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
