HomeMy WebLinkAboutPark Committee Minutes 03.14.1983March 14, 1983 0 SUBJECTS Park Committee The meeting was called to order at 5 PM at the West School Principal's Office by Chairman Fred Feuerbacher. The following committee members were presents R. Harris R. Bowers R.. Western K. Harris Guests present were L. Peterson and D. Michael. OLD BUSINESSs Discussed the pressure tank at Riverside that had to be replaced at a cost of $345 less 10%. This is a bigger tank than the previos one so the pump wontt have to work as hard or as long. Also a back flow check valve will be installed at the cost of .12$. Motion by R. Harris and seconded by R. Western, motion passed. NEW BUSINESS: A motion by Rob Harris to purchase playground equipment at a cost of $951 from Big Toy Company equipment #2A in their display book. Seconded by R. Western and motion passed. Placement of the equipment to be decided at our next meeting as this meeting . will be an inspection of our parks and at that time we will decide where it is most needed. Motion by R. Bowers that we join the Montana Park and Recreation Association at a cost of $15 which is already in the budget. Seconded by R. Western and passed. Also discussed the upcoming; convention in Bozeman and maybe someone attending the convention for one day April 12,1983 to look at the displays and to get some ideas for our parks. Motion by R. Western to take bids on beginning to improve Murray Park as there are some funds at the county for new park development, approx. $27,000.00. Seconded by R. Bowers and passed. K. Harris talked of maybe installing lights on the tennis courts to extend the hours on the courts and also to place more light in the park. F.. Feuerbacher talked about needed repairs at the swimming pool and the upcoming season. Letters will be sent to last years pool help and then we will see how many will return and how many more are needed. We also decided to place our ad in the AAA Guide for our Riverside Park.
