This extra meeting was called to discuss some items that 1 felt needed
immediate attention so it was held at this time and the next meeting will
be at itts regular time.
OLD BUSINESS:
• M=ray Park plans should go before the Commissioners soon.
The committee decided that the lites at Thomson Park should come down as soon
as the State Baseball Tourney is over. These liter have caused some anxious moments
in the past month and the committee feels that the council should make the final
decision as to when and how.
If all the material can be gathered the work on the soccer goals should be started
real soon.
NEW BUSINESS:
i Kiwanis Club approached the committee with the plan for putting some horseshoe pits
at Kiwanis Parko but before giving approval the committee wanted to look into
the insurances liability and wather a fence should be put up for protection.
Received a letter from the Burlington Northern to have & picnic at Riverside
Park on Thursday August 18, 1983 at about 5:00 PY to 8:00 PVT. They expect about
1200 people. The committee approved they contact the city concerning garbage
collection for this area. The prices were given to Mr John Ward and Mr John Maxson
and they were to contact MR Peterson or MR Michael with their decision.
