A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Swimming Pool;
Emergency gate will be in by duly 11.(it is now in)
We have had requests to raise one of the diving boards up to the hign boaxd.It is
the recommendation of the Committee and pool managers that it be left down as it allows
for more swimming area without the highboard.
We have had 12 locker:?.doors d-onated.As time permits we will build lockers and put them
in the lifeguards room.
Area north of the chaniM building needs to be cleaned up and graded.We recommend
• that no parking be allowed next to the building.
Linda Sturman has requested a key to the change building but the committee suggests
that no keys be given to anyone other than City employees. -
Several organizations are presently using electrical power from the change building
at this time.The Committee questions why the City should provide free power.
Thmpson Park;
We are rather confused about who is supposed to control the watering of the Legion
ball fiel.d.At the present about three people are giving us conflicting orders.
The grass in Thompson Park looks terrible.It badly needs fertilizer but tlis is
rather expensive.
Tennis Court patching is on hold until we can determine why the patching material
is'nt working properly.
The restrooms in the change building will no longer be open to the public on the
Fourth of duly.For explanation talk to any of the pool personell who had to clean
them the next day.
Murray Park;
We would like to apply for D.O.R. matching funds for Murray Park developement.
Committee recommends keeping"Keep Off Grass"signs till next spring.
The Family and friends of Don Lenhardt would like to plant a tree and erect a
plaque in pone memory.Committe recommends approval and suggests Murray Park.
Anne Easton,Parks Recreation Director,reported on the summer recreation program.
