PARKS COMMITTEE

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:

Norman Orr moved, Ernie Davis seconded, we allow the Cub Scouts
to use the pool June 29th 2 hours before opening. They will pay
lifeguards. Motion carried.
Ernie Davis moved, Milt Wester seconded, that the Park Committee
approve the Budget/Finance Committee's recommendation to increase
the rates for swimming. Motion carried. Fees are:
Daily rate .......................$1.00
City Residences:
• Single Season Ticket........ 10.00
Family Season Ticket........ 20.00
Out of City Residences:
Single Season Ticket........ 15.00
Family Season Ticket........ 30.00
Milt Wester moved, seconded by Ernie Davis, that we approve the
construction of a 12x20 building to house the electrical equipment
and for storage subject subject to Jim Flisrand's inspection.' j7'"

Milt Wester moved, Ron Faught seconded, we ask the Council to
consider using the grader to level private property adjacent to
Nutting Park for use by the girl's softball association. Motion
carried.
Milt Wester moved, second by Ron Faught, that we give Park Committee
support to a girl's softball group who is attempting to improve
the West 9th Street park for a softball complex. Motion carried.
Ernie Davis moved, Norman Orr seconded, that instructors receive $3.35
for swimming lessons per hour and that lessons would not be part of
their 40-hr. week. Motion passed.
Norman Orr moved, Ernie Davis seconded, that we allow the firemen
• to use either Russell or Nutting Park for a hose test May 17th.
Norman Orr moved, Ernie Davis seconded, to approve the rate increase
for hookups at Riverside Park as recommended by the Budget/Finance
Committee. Motion carried.
