A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Norman Orr moved, Bill Brennan seconded, we renew the contract
with Bob Volmer for horse pasture rental at Reservoir Park
for 9 horses. Motion carried.
Bill Brennan moved, Norman Orr seconded, to allow a request
by Jerry Philhower to use the area around the Rod & Gun Club
for a picnic September 7th. Motion carried.
• Milt Wester moved, Bill Brennan seconded, that we (1) check
with the school for use of the football field for soccer and
(2) to seeif the Thomsen Park area at 6th & Colorado Avenue
is adequately sized for a soccer field. Motion carried.
Reports were heard on the swimming pool, recreation program,
boat ramp, and from groups interested in assisting with the
parks.
