A quorum 0 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
A report on the April 22nd meeting with the tennis group was given.
Received two proposals from Jim Dutcher for resurfacing the courts -
$7,200 -- $13,220 and we are working to get school assistance.
Need: new nets (school will buy), fence on east and west ($1,500.00),
break out concrete on south east corner, secure water valves on
east slope of the pool. Absolutely no irrigation water on the
courts. Need a letter from the City to the School District
asking for the sharing of costs. NO kids on courts.
Bob Wetch resigned his position as Chairman of the Thomson Park
renovation project. He said the fund (about $8,000) would be turned
over to the City.
??..P Doris Armstrong is interested in putting up a shelter in Thomson
Park. Jim will draw up specs for that to determine a cost
Ann Easton met with the board concerning the summer recreation
program. Sign up will be May 21--22--23 in the schools.
Bill Brennan moved, Ron Faught seconded, to allow Derek Hinz to
work with the Legion concession committee to put a mobile con-
cession stand in Thomson Park. Motion carried.
Miles Riesinger asked permission to plant trees in South Pond Park.
We will check with County Extension agent to see what kind of trees
will live there.
Plan to spend $1,500 on a tire swing and sandboxes in 3 parks.
Jim will check on this more.
P Would like to send reps to the Swimming Pool Seminar Wednesday,
S15_-P7 May 27th at the Sheraton Hotel. $20 for 2 or more people.

Swimming pool prices and tickets must be set. Will meet next
Monday and try to establish a system.
