A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
Norm moved, Bill seconded that when school starts, the little
pool will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. and the big pool, open
from 4 to 8 p.m. Motion carried.
Bill moved, Norm seconded that we repair the damaged roof on the
dugouts and the concession stand in Athletic Field with metal roofing.
Motion carried.
Jim moved, Norm seconded that we allow the Little League Association
to repair the valve box in the Little League field, and also, to add
fill dirt and overseed the Little League field in Thompson Park.
Motion carried.
Jim moved, Norm seconded that we proceed with the installation of the
security light near the concession stand in Thompson Park. Cost of the
repai-r should not exceed $300. Motion carried.
"A, , the Billings forrester, met with Jim about the trees
downtown and showed him how city crews could prune them. Complaints
have been received concerning the fact the trees are blocking signs
on various buildings in the downtown area.
A date of was set for a dedication ceremony
for the memorial plaque placed in Russell Park by Junior Fink in
memory of Lois Russell.
The committee will consider the possibility of utilizing the
existing buildings in Riverside Park for storage of the Laurel
Search and Rescue equipment.
