Bill Brennan moved, Mel seconded that we limit.the
length of time for leases for buildings in Riverside Park:
to 5 (five) years. Motion carried. We recommend that any
changes or improvements made to the buildings be reviewed
and approved by the park committee and city council.
The committee recommends that we have a.lease with all
caretakers who reside in city-owned houses in Riverside
Park.
Jim reported that bid letting for the boat ramp will be
held Dec. 9 in Helena with a 30-day construction time in
early spring, 1989.
Member representatives of the clubs whose buildings are
leased with the city in Riverside Park: attended the
meeeting to discuss the 5-year lease proposal and the need
for liability insurance to be held by each organization.
Joe Bradley answered questions in regard to the insurance
issue. There seemed to be no'problem with the 5 year lease
agreement.
We met with Herb Mohs, caretaker at Riverside Park, to
hear any suggestions he had for improvements at the park.
Bill Brennan moved, Jim seconded that we repair a light
near the bathrooms at a cost not to exceed $100. Motion
carried.
Jim will check: with Montana Power on installing a light
at the southwest corner of Riverside Farb::.
Other suggestions included purchasing a weed eater,
outlet repair for the campsites plus adding a few new
outlets, if possible, concrete work around the bathroom
area and perhaps a barrier to prevent cars from driving
right up to the door of the bathrooms, and build new
charcoal grills for the campsite area.
