September 13, 1994
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was
held in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Charles Rodgers at
7:30 p.m. ~ on September 13~ 1994 for the specific purpose of hearing engineering
proposals for the Water Plant Project by Morrison-Maierle/CSSA and HKM
Associates.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT:
John Minch
Albert Ehrlick
Lonnie Kellogg
Donna Kilpatrick
Gay Easton
Chuck Dickerson
Ron Marshall
Bob Graham
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None
Bill Enright~ Willis Wetstein, Dave Mosser and James Spring, representing
Morrison-Maierle/CSSA~ gave a presentation regarding the Laurel Water Treatment
Plant Project, their past experience with water projects and the qualifications
of their personnel.
After a brief recess HKM & Associates, represented by JJ.m Kaercher~ Car]
Anderson and Gary Simonich, gave a presentation regarding the Laurel Water
Treatment Plant Project and a new one million gallon water reservoir northwest
of town. They also mentioned their past water project experiences and the
qualifications of their personnel.
A five minute recess was held and the meeting was called back to order at
9:54 p.m.
The city council discussed the proposals.
Motion by Alderman Marshall to appoint Morrison-Maierle/CSSA as engineer
for the Water Plant Project, seconded by Alderman Kellogg. Motion carried 6--2
with Alderman Graham and Alderwoman Kilpatrick voting,
Jon Rutt was present for the meeting and he volunteered to serve on a committee
to meet and work with the engineers and to oversee the project.
The meeting adjourned at
10:10 p.m.
