A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Bill Brennan moved, Milt Wester seconded to allow the
Downtown Business Association to use Fireman's Park for a
Herbstfest promotion, Friday, September 23. Motion carried.
Chuck Dickerson moved, Bill Brennan seconded, to allow
the Laurel Jaycees to paint benches in Athletic Field and
bleachers in Thomson Park. Motion carried.
LaNaya Gonzales offered sandy fill dirt to be placed in
South Pond Park. Jim will check on the quality of the dirt,
and if useable will arrange for transporting the dirt to the
pond area.
Milt Wester moved, Bill Brennan seconded that using the
authority granted to the Park committee in Ordinance No. 698,
Chapter 16.02, Section 16.02.010, that we adopt a curfew for
all City parks from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.. Motion carried.
Signs listing the curfew must be placed in all parks.
Milt will check with representatives of the American
Legion Baseball team to remove the wooden advertisement signs
from the fence in Athletic Field.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
