She said she was treated disrespectively as a parent and was asked to leave through the showers. She did not leave through the showers but instead through the employee door. She made several recommendations which she said she could back up through the petition system if we so wish. The recommendations are: 1. Either remove or lower the fence between the wading pool and the swimming pool. 2. Move the fence out into the grassy area making more room for people to set around the pool. 3. Allow towels inside the pool area. 4. Allow parents in street clothes inside the pool area. 5. Add a partial heating system for the pool. The Committee took no actions on the recommendations but told Mrs. Johnson we would contact her when we discuss the . recommendations in a November meeting. She said she could get names of parents who also want the changes on a petition if necessary. She said the Laurel Pool has more restrictions than any other place she has lived and urged us to relax the restrictions in order to encourage more family participation.
