McGillen, Bill Brennan, Jim Filsrand, LuAnne Engh, Ron Faught, Jim Worthington a-?-9p Public: Charles Peaton - Greg Branstetter Edna Schwenneker Angie Thom - Pat Hart - Cid Whitcanack - Cindy Chappel - Louis and Marie American Legion Baseball -- Laurel Little League - Laurel Garden Club It it Carbon County Girl's Softball it U Zinne - Joliet Chuck Dickerson opened the meeting by saying the board had accepted the Legion/Little league's offer on the concession stand operation. Chuck clarified the issue of the park curfew of midnight. Peaton said no tournaments are expected to go past midnight. Chuck explained that either a flat fee or a percentage of the concession's profits are to go towards hiring a full time grounds keeper for the park. Chuck asked the basball leagues to come up with an offer on this. Both the board and the representatives of the leagues agreed the fields need to be well maintained. Although this person would basically be hired for daytime work , he could be hired separately for tournaments for between. game clean ups. The city will provide double sinks, counter tops and a hot water heater. The leagues would need to remove any of their equipment at the end of the season to avoid vandelism. Peaton stated that since the garbage at the field's is more than a one man job, the leagues would plan to continue to help clean up the fields after games. Angie Thom of the garden club arranged to meet with Jim at the Chief Joseph statue to decide on the location of a flower bed. Chuck indicated the City council had approved taking out any old bushes and trees to account for the new landscaping. Louis and Maria Zennie asked permission to use Riverside Park for a family reunion on June 17th - all day. They were told to contact the police about alcoholic beverages and to observe the curfew. City council will approve their request Feb. 20. Cindy Chappell asked permission to use the fields at Nutting for Carbon County softball league games. They have permission to use the fields but must bring their schedules in by the end of April. Cid Whitcananck asked permission to use Thompson Park for a 3-class Park City Reunion on Sunday, July 1. Contacting the police about alcohol and observing the curfew was advised. The council will approve the request Feb. 20. Jim will work up an agreement letter and a scheduling system for people requesting use of the parks by the next meeting. Meeting adjourned. Respectfully Submitted, LuAnne Engh v'
