A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Discussion was held on the use of the fields in Nutting
Park by the Girl's Softball Leagues. Scheduling between the
two groups wanting to use the fields must be worked out. One
group is the Laurel Girls Softball Association and the other
is a group of Laurel girls that are associated with the
Carbon County league. They will return to the Parks Committee
when schedules are complete.
Parking at Nutting Park during games was also discussed.
The possibility of culverting the ditch is favorable to the
ditch company and with the ditch user. It is possible to
install the culvert as we can afford it.
Jim Flisrand moved, and Ron Faught seconded to approve the
permit for the Park/Shelter use. Motion carried.
Bob Strand moved, and Jim Flisrand seconded that we recommend
to the City Council that we do not rent City leased property to
private businesses. Motion carried.
The Parks Committee will be at 5:00 pm every 2nd and 4th
Thursday, instead of 5:30 pm every 2nd and 4th Thursday.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 pm.
