A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken
by the Committee:
Jim Flisrand reported a complaint that people are dumping
garbage on the northeast side of the shooting range. A cable
across that entry is needed. Dave will check into this.
The'Committee asks that the "No vehicles in the Park"
rule be enforced. Pick-up trucks and even R.V.'s have been
seen parked on the grass next to the picnic shelter.
Irrigation water hitting the beams of the Thomson Park
Shelter is a problem. Dave will ask Bill Feller to situate
the water pipes so the water will not hit the shelter.
Grass will be seeded in Thomson Park. LuAnn will try to
find some snow fence to put up near the sidewalk area to keep
kids off the newly sown grass.
Motion by Bob Strand, seconded by Dennis Eaton, that we
recommend to the Council that we begin the process of acquiring
a new swimming pool. Motion carried.
Dave Michael, Jim Worthington, and Jim Flisrand will bring
some figures & facts dealing with the new pool and tennis courts,
to the next -i rg??' _ meeting and a
g proposal will be developed for
Council consideration.
Plans for a sand box house, to be placed in Kiwanis Park
were reviewed and several suggestions given for safety precautions.
LuAnn will return the plans to the Babysitting Co-op for revision.
The group plans to donate the house to the park.
The road by the South Pond Park is in need of grading.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
