by the Committee:
A report on the 4th of July planning committee meeting,
September 24th was given (a report is attached).
Cheryll Lund, Nita Kroll and Anita Knaub, representing
the Laurel Girls Softball Association, attended in-regard to
• their request to fence a portion of the northwest field in
Nutting park. The group reported that the use of the baseball

primarily because the field is just too big for the girls.
Motion by Lonnie Kellogg, seconded by Jim Flisrand that we
allow a 75' long.chain link fence on both foul lines of the
northwest field in Nutting Park. Motion carried. The fence
will be 3?' to 4' high. The group also asked to install 2
dugouts in the same area.
Motion by Jim Worthington, seconded by Lonnie Kellogg, that
we accept the resignation of LuAnne Engh from the park committee
(resignation letter is attached). Motion carried.
Concerning the 4th of July Planning Committee report, Lon
Kellogg will check with the Chamber of Commerce on the suggestion
that no alcohol be sold in the park on the Fourth- of July.

Dear Mayor:
I would like to submit my resignation as a Park Hoard
committee member. I have enjoyed working on the board, but due
to the complexity of my family's schedule I can't regularly
attend board meetings.
At some time in the future I would like to again be
involved with one of the council committees. Thank you for the
opportunity to serve on the park board.
Sincere I y,
Lu??Anne Engh C
