Cheryll Lund Nita Kroll A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the Committee: A report on the 4th of July planning committee meeting, September 24th was given (a report is attached). Cheryll Lund, Nita Kroll and Anita Knaub, representing the Laurel Girls Softball Association, attended in-regard to • their request to fence a portion of the northwest field in Nutting park. The group reported that the use of the baseball complex on East 8th Street would be unacceptable for girls primarily because the field is just too big for the girls. Motion by Lonnie Kellogg, seconded by Jim Flisrand that we allow a 75' long.chain link fence on both foul lines of the northwest field in Nutting Park. Motion carried. The fence will be 3?' to 4' high. The group also asked to install 2 dugouts in the same area. Motion by Jim Worthington, seconded by Lonnie Kellogg, that we accept the resignation of LuAnne Engh from the park committee (resignation letter is attached). Motion carried. Concerning the 4th of July Planning Committee report, Lon Kellogg will check with the Chamber of Commerce on the suggestion that no alcohol be sold in the park on the Fourth- of July. The next meeting of the Park Committee will be October 25th. I have enjoyed working on the board, but due to the complexity of my family's schedule I can't regularly attend board meetings. At some time in the future I would like to again be involved with one of the council committees. Thank you for the opportunity to serve on the park board.
