HomeMy WebLinkAboutPark Committee Minutes 04.25.1991PARK COMMITTEE Date April 25, 1991 Time 5:00 p.m. Place of Meeting City Hall MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Ron Faught Dennis Eaton Lonnie Kellogg Jim Worthington OTHER'S PRESENT: Dave Michael Ann Easton Mike Gauthier Carl Hollabaugh A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the Committee: Motion by Jim Worthington, seconded by Ron Faught, that we recommend that Curtis Hoffman be hired as Assistan Manager and Brian Hunter and Cheryl Hallstad as head lifeguards. The recommended salaries would be $6.20 for manager, $5.70 for assistant manager, $5.00 for head lifeguards, $4.50 for returning lifeguards and $4.25 for new lifeguards. Motion carried with Lonnie Kellogg voting "No". The pool, weather permitting, will open on June 9th. Motion by Ron Faught, seconded by Donna Kilpatrick, that we recommend the swimming pool prices be .50? (20 tickets for $10.00) and $1.00 per individual swimmer. Motion carried. Motion by Ron Faught, seconded by Dennis Eaton, that we hire Ann Easton for the months of May, June & July to allow early registration for the summer recreation program before school is out. Motion carried. A request by Cindy Bekel for the use of Russell Park on Saturday, July 6th at 2 pm for a reunion of the Class of 1971 was approved. The committee recommended that the Little League pay for the electricity needed to turn on the lights in Athletic Field for games in April. The budget allows for the lights to be turned on in may. The hand dryers will be installed in the concession stand in Thomson Park and the proposed plans for the scorekeepers stand was approved by Jim. It is limited to 4 people. • Page 2 Minutes of the Park Committee meeting of April 25, 1991 Carl Hollabaugh attended the meeting to ask about moving into the house now occupied by the O'Rourke's.
