A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
The committee recommends we allow the proposal as presented
by the American Legion Baseball team and the Little League. The
two groups will keep the concession stand operation profits on
a share basis in exchange for maintaining the fields. The two
groups believe that the City has in the past and should.now-:pay
50% of the maintenance person's salary. A copy of the proposal
is attached.
The American Legion team would like to install a pitcher's
mound at the north field of the baseball complex on E. Eighth.
The field could be used as a practice field and would "save"
the grass at Athletic Field in Thomson Park. The mound at the
north field in the baseball complex would not interfere with the
softball program if the Men's Softball League becomes active.
