HomeMy WebLinkAboutPark Committee Minutes 04.09.1992PARKS COMMITTEE Date April 9, 1992 Time 5:05 p.m. Place of Meeting City Hall MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman- Donna Kilpatrick Gay Easton Jim Worthington Bill Brennan Jim F.lisrand OTHER'S PRESENT: A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the Committee: Donna Kilpatrick received a phone call from a Mrs. Wolf concerning cars crossing the park in the Badger Square area (County). A request to pasture horses had recently been received from a Henry Harding. That matter was turned over to Cal Cumin because the Park is in the county but is in our park jurisdiction. A contract to pasture horses there will be made with Mr. Harding. • Hopefully, he will fence the area and that will handle the speedsters also. An update on the maintenance being done on Athletic Field. by the American Legion Baseball group was given by Jim Worthington. Work is being done on the dugouts and when that is done they will move the swings to an area just south of where they are now. Some maintenance work by city crews will be done on the restroom in Russell Park and cracks will be filled in the tennis courts in Thomson Park. A contract with the American Legion Baseball team and. Little League will be drawn up by Joe Bradley. The contract will CCo??+.s,? include: 1. Keep the area outside and inside clean. 2. Notify the City of any problems which arise, broken pipes or appliances such as water heater, etc. 3. Turn the key over to the city at the end of the season. 4. Remove all supplies from the building at the end of the season. Motion by Bill Brennan, seconded by Jim Worthington, that we appoint Mike Gauthier Pool Manager, Curt Hoffman, Asst. Pool Manager, and. that they in turn appoint the head guards and. lifeguards with Jim's and the Mayor's approve. All 20 guards that applied were recommended to be hired. Motion carried.
