A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by
the Committee:
The Committee agreed to allow a Billings archery group to
use the facilities in Riverside Park. They need an area to
accomodate a 20-60 yd. distance for 1 day a week from 5:00 to
10:00 p.m. They have their own insurance. They must check with
• the Yellowstone Bowmen of Laurel, the Rifle Club, and the Rod
& Gun Club, to assure that there is no conflict. Jim will work
with these groups.
The Tolco Management Company has requested permission to
develop the dedicated park in Alder Ridge Trailer park (east of
Laurel) near Sante Fe Drive. All work must be done with the
approval from the City Engineer. Permission was granted.
Mrs. Brice attended to request a sign in Firemen's Park
to remind people to clean up after their pets. Jim will handle
getting the sign in place.
Ann Easton, the City Recreation Director, will attend the
next park meeting to report on the summer recreation program.
We are still in need of someone to clean the restrooms in
Thomson and Russell Parks. The job would consist of 2 hours each
day 7 days a week.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
