The charge is $3.50 per unit for any group involving over 10 units. Ann Easton reported concerning the summer recreation program. Several activities are being planned. She will have registration held in the school either the first week in June or the last week in May. She will take care of advertising the registration. Swimming lessons will begin after July 4th. Jim reported on the installation of a water fountain near the shelter in Thomson Park as well as a new frost-free pipe for filling the ice skating rink. A ruling on the $11,000 being carried on the books for new park development in existing parks reveals that we may use those funds for new development in existing parks. Members of the committee are reviewing each park and will come up with a priority list for best utilization of the fund. Discussion was held on the condition of the tennis courts. Members felt that we shouldn't keep pouring money into filling the cracks. Finding funds for building new courts was discussed and we will check with Cenex and Burlington to see if any grants could be applied to this project. Dave was going to contact the school to see if they would participate in a resurfacing project for the tennis courts. At this point the courts are almost unusable. Students on the tennis team from the high school are being bussed to Billings to practice because our courts are deemed dangerous. Respe tfully submitted, Donna Kilpatrick, Chairman 40
