Place of Meeting City Hall MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Donna Kilpatrick Lon Kellogg Dennis Eaton Bill Brennan Jim Flisrand Jim Worthington OTHER'S PRESENT: L.D. Collins A quorum (3 or more) present, the following action was taken by the Committee: Lon Kellogg moved that we recommend to the council that scuba diving be allowed at South Pond and charge $ 5.00 for each outing with a two day maximum. Motion carried. • Discussed the revision of the lifeguard/pool manager manual. The manuals are really pretty good but we need some guidlelines on pool opening, swimming suits, etc. A letter will be sent to Reed Perkins thanking him for his Eagle Scout beautification project at Riverside Park. Alice Branstetter will be contacted regarding the written financial report promised from the Little League and American Legion for summer concession sales. A contract should be drawn up for next year. A decision will be made concerning concession sales in the parks by non-profit or profit making groups. L.D. Collins demonstrated a substance called polymer which absorbs water 400 x's its weight. The cost is $ 4.50 per pound and it lasts eight years. It would take 15-20 lbs. for 1,000 square feet.
