INSURANCE COMMITTEE
DATE January 5, 1984 TIME 4:30 .m.
PLACE OF MEETING City Hall
Members present: Chairman Bob Gauthier
Bob Mann, Don Hackmann, Vern Waller, Dave Michael, Don Meyers
Other's present: Olivia Lee . Don Miller
A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
1. Discussed the claim from Don Miller. Don felt the settlement
offer of $350 is inadequate -- total bills come to a little
over $600.00. Mr. Miller explained what happened regarding
the sewer backup, which caused the damage.
Further discussion.
It was recommended that the committee contact Richard Sayler,
the adjuster, for reconsideration of the settlement amount.
2. Discussed the possibility of going out for bid on the City's
insurance coverages. It has been 3 years since we have done
this.
Williams Agency will give us an estimate of possible increases
on our current policies by the first week in February, and it
will be determined at that time if we should go out for bids.
3. Discussed going out for bid on Health insurance. Don will
contact Becky Hewitt.of Blue Cross to get a usage report.
Respectfully submitted,

can go to the person or persons who caused the line to back up and request
payment from them.
This offer is made without prejudice.
Thank you for your cooperation and may we hear from you soon. I
