A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
The.committee met and discussed-the new-Federal regulations
regarding Medicare and group health insurance. Any employer
must provide that any employee aged 65 through 69 shall be en-
titled to coverage under any group health plan offered to such
employees under the same conditions as any employee under age
65.
We only have one employee on the Blue Cross policy who is 65.
He has to sign a statement regarding his choice - Medicare or
Blue Cross. If he chooses Medicare, then his dependents wouldn't
be covered.
A form has to be sent.-to-Blue Cross letting them know if we have
anyone 65 or over.
The committee recommends that Don Hackmann notify Blue Cross
and sign the notification form.
Meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
