Bob presented the Mayor's Status Report dated May 6, 1986.
Discussion regarding a law suit which has been filed by DNRC
because the City has claimed too much potential use of water.
Discussion regarding the memo from HKM regarding Volk Construction's
5% holdback on the Wastewater Treatment Plant project. It was
recommended that the City pay the holdback that has been earned.
It may help us with the arbitration case.
Jim reported that he was contacted by the Billings Bench Water
Association regarding an easement the City has with them for
the sewer plant access road. They want that road closed off,
and they want us to develop some type of system so that it
won't be too unhandy for us to get to the sewer plant. They
do not want the public down at the ditch any longer. They
appear to have liability concerns. Jim will check the easement
and see what it says.
Mel Krug reported that the Chamber has withdrawn their request
to use the east side of Firemen's Park as a parking lot.
