Bob reported that the pump at the Cemetery had gone out. The
estimates are $3,500 for a new one and $4,000 to repair the old
one. Bob suggests buying a new one but we are looking at 3 to
4 weeks for delivery time. We are going to try to lease one in
the meantime.
Bob also reported that we are having a problem with gophers in
the Cemetery. We are waiting to hear from the County Extension
Office to see if we can use poison oats. We may have to shut
the cemetery down for awhile.
• Bob stated that the advertisement for bids have gone out for
the Quick Attack Fire Truck and the Garbage Truck.
Bob reported on Asphalt Supply. He stated that Joe wants us
to get an engineer. Asphalt Supply is willing to pay part of
the fees. This issue is on the agenda for July 1st.
Bob handed out the preliminary budget.
Bob stated that Ernie, Pat and Don are on vacation.
Mayor's status report was presented.
Mayor stated that the overlay on lst Avenue is still scheduled
for mid-July.
The Mayor stated that they are looking at painting the tennis
courts. The summer help will do this.
Donna Kilpatrick asked about spraying for mosquitoes at Riverside
Park. Because of the liability factors involved it just isn't
feasable.
Meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
0 Respectfully submitted,
Sharon Herman, Deputy City Clerk
