CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE AS A WHOLE
August 19, 1986 6:30 p.m.

Discussed changing the permit requirement for installing your
own driveway, etc. on public right-of-way.
Discussed curb replacement and the City doing the patch work
where the asphalt is torn out.
Bob reported that the repair work at Riverside Park has been
completed and the new caretaker has moved into the house.
Bob mentioned that we have got more chip and seal and asphalt
work done this year than probably the last three years.
The State will start the overlay project on 1st Avenue and on
Main Street sometime this week.
0 A new pit has been-dug at the landfill.
At the September 2nd Council meeting there will be a bid opening
for a private contractor to operate the landfill.
The police department has had additional overtime due to the increased
activity.
Bob said that we have gone out for bid for two pickups because
the cemetery truck is unsafe. The door fell off again. Ernie's
pickup will go to the cemetery and Dave's will go to the water
plant. They will each get a new pickup.
Ernie Davis reported on vandalism occurring at the cemetery.
Discussion.
Discussion regarding tree contractors bringing branches, etc.,
to the landfill.
