Bob distributed the Mayor's status report dated July 21, 1987.
Bob mentioned that the preliminary budget which will be presented
for adoption tonight has some revisions from the one presented
June 16, 1987.
Work is being done for a CDBG Grant. A public hearing will be
held tonight after the regular council meeting.
The repaired culvert at Birch and East 4th Street seems to be
working now.
Street maintenance is being done on 5th Ave. Extra work had to
be done in that area.
The Mayor wants to continue the policy on purchases of $300 or
more going to the Budget Finance Committee for prior approval.
Donna Kilpatrick presented a list of questions regarding the
Consolidation. There will be an informational meeting with the
Consolidation Committee on August 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Council
Chambers.
Chuck Dickerson said that Norman Orr will chair the Police and
Ambulance Committees next month.
