CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Bob distributed the Mayor's status report dated 9-15-87.
Bob mentioned that Ervin Wood's wife passed away and the
funeral will be tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran
Church.
Russell Park dedication and the dedication of the Laurel
Nursing Home (Care Center) has taken place.
Work is now being done on the Tennis Courts.
Jim Worthington has been working on the East Main lift station
and has completed a final plan.
Discussion regarding the Cantrell property which is in the city
limits and the owner wants to de-annex. A resolution will be
presented at tonights council meeting.
Jim Flisrand mentioned that the resolution on the CDBG Grant
and the Bid opening for a one ton truck, which is on tonights
council agenda, should be delayed until some future date. More
time is needed on the CDBG grant application and EPA wants to
add some specs on the one ton truck.
Bob mentioned that there will be a grand opening on Monday at
the Security Federal Savings Bank.
The Park and Recreation Committee meeting is at 5:00 p.m. on
September 28th.
