Bob distributed the Mayor's status report dated July 17,
Bob reported that we have had many water leaks this summer,
per month.
The pool was closed for awhile due to a water leak, which was
right underneath the building.
There was a problem during construction of the new lift station.
The Contractor broke a private sewer line. The line went around
the old lift station and we didn't have any drawings of it. The
Contractor was not aware that the line was there. This will be
discussed during the Council meeting.
The Lift Station is almost complete.
We need to adopt the preliminary budget tonight. The final
budget will be adopted on August 8th. There is a proposed 6%
water rate and sewer rate increase. Action on this. increase
will come at a later date with seperate resolutions.
Negotiations have not been completed. The preliminary budget
reflects a proposed 2% wage increase. Negotiations will continue
Wednesday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m.
Discussion regarding citizens working off fines through Beta
Services.
