CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Bob Gauthier distributed the Mayor's status report dated October
18, 1988.
Bob also distributed copies of the new Union Contract to the
City Council members.
Ernie Davis resigned and Bob indicated that his position
probably won't be filled.
Bob distributed a "Help Request" form to use for problems within
the City, which is to be filled out and given to Bob. Jim wont
be available as much as in the past. He and Dave will take
over Ernie's duties.
The water line project on East Fifth Street is complete. The
street repair will be done next spring.
The Library has been moved into the new building at 720 W. 3rd
Street. Help will be needed to install shelving. The Library
probably won't be open until around October 27th. Paving of the
parking lot will be completed next spring.
Discussion regarding garbage cans for the downtown area.
Bob Graham reported on the landfill situation.
Discussion regarding the speed limit sign on East Main going out
of and into the City. It appears the signs are either reversed
or one of them is incorrect.

Representatives from the Fire Service Area will be at the Council
meeting tonight.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 P.M.
