Bob distributed the Mayor's status report dated January 3, 1989.
The City is operating the landfill now. Temporary hours are
7:30 - 3:00, S days a week, Monday through Friday.
The 1989-90 budget calendar has been completed. The mid-
yar review of the 1988-89 budget will be done sometime
this month.
Cal Cumin commented that there is a bill (HB-39) in the 1989
legislature to eliminate the 1% Coal severance tax to be used
for County land planning.
D.L. McGillen brought up a discussion regarding the boxcar at
the City shop area which is used by the firemen for storage.
They would like to re-position it and install a lean-to for
additional storage.
The fuel tank project at the City shop is completed. The
storage tanks are above ground now, which eliminates EPA
contamination concerns.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
