Bob distributed the police activity report for June.
. Discussed the preliminary budget. The public hearing will be
held at the regular council meeting on August 1st and the final
budget will be adopted at a special meeting on August 7th. Also,
the July claims will be approved at a special meeting on the same
night.
Bob Gauthier complimented Harvey Hazen for the good Job he is
doing at the landfill.
Bob Gauthier commended the Department heads on controlling their
budgets last fiscal year.
Don Hackmann reported that Jim Gunnels attended the Budget/
Finance Committee meeting today and requested $800 for an air
conditioner at the Museum (old Library Building). This request
was taken under advisement and will be considered at the budget
hearing on August 1st.
Bob Graham reported on complaints of no bathroom facilities at
Thomson Park. The Thomson Park project will be starting in a couple
of days. However the bathroom facilities won't be constructed
for a few weeks yet.
Dave Michael reported that they will start on the water and sewer
lines for the Thomson Park project probably on Thursday of this
week. The building probably will be started in August and sprinkler
system and concrete work this fall.

Chuck Dickerson cautioned everyone to not overstuff the new
notebooks especially the pocket on the inside cover.
Bob Graham gave an update on the DARE Program. Laurel will have
an officer involved with the program.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 P.M..
