Bob distributed the Police Activitv Report for Julv. No Status
Report tonight. .
Maintenance work on the sewer diaester has bectun.
The sprinkler system, water and sewer lines have been installed
at Thomson Park.
Maintenance on the pier at the Water Plant will begin next week
Discussed water lines on Pennsylvania and Washington Avenues.
The ambulance crew is short handed - down to five members.
Ambulance services from Billings helped out, but they didn't
have enough calls to warrant their being based in Laurel. They
will work on call from Billings.
Bob announced that Jim Flisrand has turned in his resignation
effective September 22nd. The mayor wished Jim the best of 1uck.?
Jim will discuss Thomae Lumber tonight at the Council Meeting.
Jim discussed the garbage truck bids. There were 3 bidders, but
many options.
The mayor said he would still like to create the Assistant to the
Director of Public Works position, even though Jim is leaving.
Bob mentioned that the Police Commission still needs 2 members,
and the Airport Authority one member.
Meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
