Bob Gauthier reported that the trip to Wolf Point to visit
the power grip manufacturing plant was. cancelled due to the
• weather.
The Council will elect a new President and Vice-President
tonight.
The Committees will remain basicly the same. D.L. McGillen
will be on the Parks Committee, L.D. Collins will be on the
Budget and Finance Committee and Rob Harris will be on the
License Committee.
The Gambling Committee will be dissolved due to the State's
new gambling laws.
The Mayor, Bob Gauthier, said that he will be appointing the
same Department Heads. Jim Worthington and Dave Michael will be
for a 1 year probationary period.
Dave Michael reported that the new garbage truck will be
ready for delivery on January 15th. Tim Reiter will go to Salt
Lake City, Utah, for a couple of days of service training and
then bring the truck to Laurel.
Discussion regarding the proposed 24-hour gambling and the
opposition to it. The Outlook will conduct a newspaper poll if
the Council would want this. The Police Committee will be meeting
• Thursday night to draw up an ordinance.

41 Discussion regarding snow removal.
The City is now picking up Christmas trees in the alley.
Bob Gauthier welcomed the Council to a new year and looks
forward to the next 4 years.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
