Bob Gauthier reported that Billings is selling a used 1978
• White garbage truck. Discussion regarding buying a used truck
and converting it to haul large containers or buying a new one.
The estimated total cost for the used one is $30,000.00 and a
new one would cost $64,000.00.
Bob explained options, including Dennis Johnston's proposals,
on trucking garbage to the Billings Landfill. This could possibly
increase garbage rates.
Discussion regarding the purchase of a used diesel pickup
for the sewer fund to replace the one which was involved in an
accident. This would be used mainly for around town and that
would not be adviseable for a diesel unit. It was suggested
to look around for a pickup with a gas engine.

Peg Kamerzel reported that Curt McKenzie, former City Engineer,
passed away today.
