A computer list of business license renewals was presented,
which is on the agenda tonight, to approve for fiscal 1990-91.
Discussion regarding Asphalt Supply. Peg said that we accept their
• $50 license fee, but we do not send them a license, per Joe's
recommendation.
Joe said that technically the city is still under this
restraining order prohibiting us from suspending their license.
That's what was issued about 4 years ago. The district court
prohibited us from suspending their license until that suit is
finalized. So we can't lift their license, but Joe doesn't
think we should be renewing it either.
There is a rumor that Asphalt Supply has been sold.
Discussion regarding people who are in different businesses
having more than one $50 license fee.
Discussion regarding ABC-TV. They have moved from 9 Montana.
Avenue to 206 West Main St. The mayor read the council minutes of
5-1-90 regarding the application. More discussion regarding
improvements needed at 206 West Main St. and the need of a fire
inspection. It appears that this business may be moving to yet
another location - a house, but no one knows the location at this
time.
Joe read from the building code and the city ordinance
stating that a building used for human occupancy or employment
is required to have a toilet and sewer facilities.

is to be adopted on July 17th and a public hearing will be held
on August 7th.

something for John Rosenberg regarding sick leave. Alan Crowe
mentioned that the council had passed a policy regarding:-a
sick leave grant program a short time ago. John appears to be
improving and is scheduled to be back at work tomorrow night.(6/20)
