Collins Lonnie Kellogg Jim Worthington Dave Michael Bob Gauthier suggested that the City Clerk and City Treasurer's financial reports be looked at before the Council meeting. Bob Gauthier mentioned that there is a request,from the Union for a classification appeal. They want to look at updating 3 classifications. At the Council meeting tonight Bob said that he will appoint a Classification Committee. Bob also made a suggestion to go and take a look at the project Exxon is doing down at the river moving a pipeline. The City has advertised for lifeguards. A class might be set up for applicants who don't have their certification. The clean up at Valentine's property on the east end of town has been completed. At the present time no more junk has been placed back on the property. Joe has sent Fred Winters a letter regarding junk around his yard. Norman Orr said that the property adjacent to the north side of the high school parking lot has a pick up body and other vehicles and parts laying around. Jim Worthington mentioned that there has been a complaint about junk on a piece of property in the 900 block on 8th Avenue on the north end of Casa Linda circle. j n r Page 2 City Council Committee of the Whole meeting of March 19, 1991 One garbage truck is broken down, but should be back in service by Thursday. Discussion regarding the veterinarian service located in the City on whether it is just for small animals or for all animals. Large animals can be brought in for daytime service, but there is no-overnight service. Peg reported that a person fell on a city street. Jim said that the person was informed to fill out an incident report and this will be reported to the City's insurance carrier. Peg also mentioned that the eye doctor told the claimant that the City has already paid for 2 other peoples glasses. Bruce Teeters inquired as to the status of the Cemetery claim awhile ago and Jim mentioned that it was denied by the insurance carrier. Jim reported that Kay Butler on Cottonwood has hired legal counsel regarding her sewer backup claim. Jim reported on the status of the Merchant Apartments. Joe has some paper work to do yet and he is suppose to get with Jim tomorrow. Discussion regarding the City's equipment maintenance policy. Dave reported that the operator greases the equipment daily and oil changes are done by the Mechanic. The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.. Respectfully submitted, S?? Don Hackmann City Clerk 0
