CITY COUNCIL OC MITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Kreg Jones from D.A. Davidson will be at the Council meeting
tonight to discuss advance refunding of the sewer revenue bonds.
There are 29 applications for the Chief of Police position.
The Police Commission will get together tomorrow to review
them. Something to think about is the paying of interview
and/or moving expenses. Do we want to do this?
Discussion on the possibility of hiring a temporary police
officer.
Discussion on the possibility of moving someone into the
sergeant's position after Alan.leaves. Bob Gauthier would
like to wait on this until after the new Chief is on board.
Look through the correspondence and committee reports.
Bruce Teeters reported that according to Marylee Moreland
the Museum plans to open around the end of May. Nothing was
mentioned about their expenses.
Ron Marshall asked if a letter had been written to Fred
Winters regarding the cleaning up of his property. Bob will
check with Joe.
The contractor has started to work on Maryland Lane.
Ron Marshall reported that the paint on the overhang in
• front of City Hall is really weathered. Bob Gauthier asked
Dave to take a look at it.

Bob Gauthier reminded the Council members, who are up
for re-election, to file before 5:00 p.m., June 27th.
The Budget/Finance Committee is proceeding with meetings
on the 1991-92 preliminary budget.
Bob has an appointment tonight for the Airport Authority
Board. He will appoint Bob Western to replace Dave Powers.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
