Discussion regarding a long distance telephone carrier.

Bob Graham mentioned that the tennis courts are in need of
repair. He said that Bob Strand was going to contact the school
district to see if they will share in the cost of repairing them.
For future plans Bob Graham mentioned that the City should
look at the possibility of acquiring land to build a 9 hold
public golf course.
There was discussion regarding the Laurel Museum. No one
seemed to know if they are going to continue. Apparently there is
a lack of interest and funding.
Ron Marshall asked why the drop box area by the Cable
Montana office was painted yellow. It should have been a plain
curb which would take up no parking space.
Discussion regarding the mobile home by the Cable Montana
building.
Discussion regarding culverts by Spruce Grove. Jim has
worked with the ditch company and he can't get them to agree to
anything at this time.
Ron Marshall mentioned that there is a City/County Planning
Board meeting on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 p.m.. There will
be a public hearing regarding the Asphalt Supply application.
Discussion regarding the Building/Fire Inspector position.
It will probably be postponed for now since there are 2 union
vacancies that need to be filled first.
