CITY COUNCIL OCMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Review the Committee recommendations on the classification
appeals.
The Police Chief candidates will be interviewed under the
Mayor's comments tonight.
Keven Bryan, Yellowstone County Treasurer, who is the Public
Service Chairman for United Way, will be at the council meeting
tonight to make a presentation.
Bob Gauthier mentioned that Mike Penne will talk to the
Council tonight regarding the wrecked police car, which had
about $4,600 damage. The 1988 Ford LTD books out at approximately
$6,000.
Discussion regarding drivers going south on South First
Avenue and making left turns into Burger King. They are driving
on the wrong side of the road for about 50 feet. Jim will
talk to the State Highway Department about getting a no left
turn sign put up there.
Bob Graham mentioned that he had a discussion with an
attorney regarding the dog excreta ordinance that was recently
passed. He said that you can't waive the ordinance for parades.
The only time you can grant amnesty for violation of an ordinance
is after someone has been arrested, gone to trial and convicted.
Bob checked with another attorney and he said the same thing.
If you have an ordinance such as this, you cannot exempt it
on certain days.
Take a look at the Committee reports for tonight.
