Don commented that City Hall will be closed Yatl?Lft, November
11th in observance of Veteran's Day.
Ron mentioned that probably next month- we will go out for
bids on a new police car. There is a possibility that in
addition to getting bids from local dealers, that we consider
a bid from the dealer who has the state bid for their patrol
cars. Last year the City of Glasgow saved about $3,000 by
being included with the state bid.
It was the consensus of the Council to try and obtain a
patrol car through the state bid.
Bob said that logging and grain trucks are hard on our
streets, especially on West 1st Street. Discussion.
It appears that the trucks cannot make the right turn at
First Avenue and Main Street.
L.D. said that new christmas lights are being considered
for the trees downtown, but they need to be topped first. The
trees are also causing damage to the sidewalks. Discussion.
There isn't any money budgeted this year, but possibly should be
considered in next year's budget.
Dave distributed copies of a proposal from BFI for garbage
collection and disposal. This is for your review. The garbage
committee will meet again Monday night at 5:30 to discuss this
proposal. There is still alot of work to do and the proposal
is not ready yet for the Council's consideration.
