MAIN STREET Members present: Shirley McDermott, Dirk Frickel, Bill Kampfer, Dean Rankin, Daniel Klein Advisors present: Steve Zeier Others present: Cynthia Ware, James Caniglia Minutes for April 27, 2009 were approved as presented Max Lennington will send financials from the county June and December and any others we may need. Scott Reiter is coming next week to discuss the new stadium and tell us what can and will be held there, who is renting/leasing the stadium, tournaments scheduled, perceived benefits to the community James says Joe Gentry from the Railroad is in charge of land sales and leases so there will need to be an agreement written thru him to use the other side of Main Street. The Questionnaire will be changed as follows: #4 will be put at the end, 46 will be re worded, #2 & #S will be combined. Discussion continued to think about Linda Frickel becoming the "front" person on an active basis for the TIF District. We will have to give her an idea what we are looking for. The Mayor said he will try to attend meetings when possible. There was some discussion in developing a skating park for the kids for those too old for the playground and too young to drive. The cost may be as high as $600,000. There had been a skateboard store in town a few years ago. We are continuing to focus on a visible project and working to formalize it. We will form a task force to develop projects. James brought us a staffing chart and copy of last years budget. The book on future committed plans is too big to copy but we may be able to get a list of what is currently on the books.
