Dave Michael distributed a public hearing notice which will
be published in the Outlook January 20th and 27th regarding a
garbage rate increase.
Bob Graham reported that some business people have contacted
B.F.I. to see how much it would cost to haul their garbage.
Dave Michael reported that.the Landfill was accepted by the
consultant and a letter was sent to the state. The City met the
deadline by the end of the year.
All of the criteria has been met by GEO Research, but we
have not heard from the state yet.
Don mentioned that Cal Cumin has a new phone number: 245-5843.
Mike reported that a frozen alligator was found in a city
garbage container.
Chuck reported that Jim is sick and probably won't be at
the council meeting tonight.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:39 p.m.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Laurel intends to
increase its regular refuse rates to all City users of City solid
waste system.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 1993,
in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Laurel, Montana, at 7:00 p.m.,
for the purpose of hearing comments and arguments from all persons,
associations, incorporations, or companies, affected by or
0 interested in the proposed rate increase. All such persons may
be present and represented by counsel.
For further information any interested or affected person
may contact the Assistant Public Works Director at City Hall,
Laurel, Montana, phone 628-8791.
