CEMETERY COMMITTEE

Albert Ehrlick, Sol Schessler, Marvin Carter, Lyle Jones Rev. Decker

A quorum (3 or more) present the following action was taken by
the committee:
.-Bids were called for on the new building at the Cemetery. The
following bids were received:
1. Cherry Construction. . . . . $6,323.00
2. Steve Moran. . . . . . . . . 6,200.00
3. Iron Horse Construction. 7,363.00
The job was awarded to Steve Moran for $6,200.00 with the agreement
that the $200.00 over the $6,000.00 budgeted will come from the
83-84 budget.
The color of the building will be beige.
The Fire Department agreed to burn the building-down, and City
will be responsible for r?emovAl of debris. A March 30th burn date
was set.
The starting date for the new building was set at April 9th, 1983.
Equipment storage - Sol Schessler has agreed to store everything at
his garage until completion of the new building, which is estimated
at three weeks.
Cemetery hours - Due to vandalism at the cemetery grounds, the
committee was forced.to put hours on the cemetery. The hours are
from 7:00 a.m. to dark. During closed hours, the gates will be
locked. Hours will be posted at the gates. Also, an article was
put in-the Outlook.
Help for Sol - Money was budgeted for a helper for Sol at the cemetery
to get it ready for Memorial Day.' It will be Sol's decision as to
when and for how long his helper will work daily, not to exceed the
money that was budgeted.
